Today I wanted to post on one of my favorite patterns ever. The Modified Margaret Button Cowl.
I first found the Margaret Button Cowl (by Jennifer Dickerson over at Fiber Flux) about two years ago and decided to make it wider and add some fringe. It quickly became a popular go-to for gifts. If you’d like to view the original pattern, you can do so by clicking here.
Then here’s what you’ll need to do. First, add on 8 chain stitches to your beginning chain. Once your cowl is about 30 inches in length, you’ll then want to add fringe to your cowl. I have a video tutorial on how you can easily accomplish this below. Just make sure that when you’re adding fringe, you’re consistent with which way you’re facing your hook. Otherwise your fringe will look uneven.
If you have any other questions or you’d like to view exactly how I created the project, you can see the whole tutorial down below. For all other questions/comments/suggestions, please let me know. Thanks so much for checking out my new page! Be sure to check back as I’ll be updating this as often as I can with new patterns and tutorials!
